Testing methodology
These tools were tested first-hand by the developer on the hardware below. We publish this so you can judge how well results apply to your own device.
Devices tested
| Device | Browser |
|---|---|
| iPhone 15 Pro | Safari |
| MacBook Pro | Chrome |
| Google Pixel | Edge |
| Windows desktop with external USB mic | — |
What we checked
- Tones play at the stated frequency and stop cleanly with no clicks.
- Left/right panning routes to the correct channel on stereo output.
- Timers end sessions at the selected duration.
- No microphone permission is ever requested by the cleaning and test tools.
Reference baseline and limits
Browser-based measurements use uncalibrated consumer hardware. Speaker, DAC and operating-system processing differ by device, so output level and frequency response are not lab-accurate. Results are a practical check, not a certified measurement.
We do not claim a specific amount of water removed. Sound vibration helps with loose surface water and light dust only.
